So what happened to my regular weekly decent update plan last February?! NOTHING!!!!! Just when things are starting to get a little bit lively around here, crap happens and ruins everything.

On my last entry, I was planning to post my 365 Project summary here every week but my internet fucked up and I was internet-less for a week so I wasn’t able to upload stuff… and then when my internet finally got fixed a week later, the new laptop arrived and I was so busy reinstalling stuff again. It’s like, starting from scratch…. my previous 365 photos are still stuck on the old laptop and I haven’t got the time to move files from one laptop to another at all because of work. Sad.

And now, I realized it’s March already!!! That was really really fast! :> This March, I’m expecting some highlights such as: Paramore concert on the 9th, the effectivity of my so-called promotion on the 15th (though I’m still not sure if this is something to be hyped about), renewing toffeenut.org on or before the 17th, hopefully getting a new domain by the end of the month (if things go smoothly and have enough extra money to purchase one).

033 | same shit everyday, a planner doodle I made for my Project 365, Counting Idle Moments!

Can you believe it?! I think January flew so fast! Lol. Maybe I was just too busy lately to notice it’s February already. Haha! Well, how was first week of February?

Mine can be summarized by the photo I posted above. SHITTY. I’ve been experiencing loads of crap, stress, and drama the whole week. Plus, my internet has been so choppy lately too. January was a good month, I hope February eventually turn to a good one too.

On a brighter note, it’s been a known fact that there are people who release their stress and depression by means of eating, and well, I’m one of those! I’ve been randomly craving for food lately which I helplessly follow leaving me a bit over on my weekly budget but at least I get to eat what I crave for. Haha! I get to eat my favourite Subway sandwich (Roast chicken sandwich) for lunch on Monday, then yummy home-cooked sweet and sour pork meal lunch from my mum on Tuesday, a cheesy and creamy chicken lasagna dinner f(House of Lasagna) on Wednesday, a fresh cooked shrimp (from Century Park) dinner on Thursday, and a nice tuna sandwich and warm huge cup of Starbucks’ Signature hot chocolate on Friday. Awesome. :>

Oh yes, while I was in Podium last Monday to get my Subway sandwich, I passed by a restaurant near the escalator and saw their French dipped roast beef sandwich, I’m kind of interested in trying that one too. Lol. Maybe I should bring a nicer camera whenever I eat and take nicer photos right? Lol.

For those who are working very hard on their Project 365 this year, how are you guys keeping up with it? I’m doing ok so far. I’m really hoping to finish it! My uploading is pretty laggy due to my busy workload though. :/ I’m planning to post a summary of my 365 every week here on my blog (just to have a decent regular update cos I want to keep this place alive!) and I kinda miss old school style of blogging. :]

I’ve been wanting to have a new theme for this site for ages now and good thing I wasn’t that busy this week so I was able to come up with this spazzy new theme! I fell in love with the wood background I used the moment I saw it, I was actually browsing for something I can use for a project study and saw the wood texture and used it for my design but the client made me take it off and leave the design plain so I tweaked it a bit and used it for my blog instead. Sweet, instant theme.

I haven’t been coding for ages too so pardon my codes, recycled everything here actually. Hahaha. This is like a patchwork of all my past themes… the codes I mean. I’m trying to revive this domain bit by bit!

I’m teaching myself how to make my own tumblr theme. Heehee, sorry cos coding isn’t really my thing so I’m pretty slow to code. :>

Btw, for more recent updates you guys should just check my Project 365, counting idle moments. Posting them on both tumblr and flickr now, not on a daily basis though. It’s prety tough for me to update on a daily basis. :]

Hello 2010! How was your holidays? Sorry if I haven’t been updating stuff since my previous post, things have been quite busy. Lol. :] December was perhaps the busiest month I’ve had for 2009. My first post of year will be a photospam of all my holiday photos. lol :]

warning: photospammed entry ahead :]

18th December 2009 was probably the most hectic day of the month. It’s our annual company christmas party and also the date of UST Paskuhan, for those who are not familiar Paskuhan is a university-wide event/christmas party and last school day of the year for us and I’ve been attending it ever since 2003 when I was a uni/college freshman. I thought I’d miss one of those events this year because it’ll be somewhat hard for me to travel from one place to another that’s happening at the same time but I was able to attend both! Haha! Luckily, our company christmas party ended earlier and paskuhan changed the program so I was able to attend both! =D

Company christmas party:

My Christmas was pretty boring. On Christmas Eve, we had a simple dinner and nursed our grandmother since her maid went home and didn’t bother to come back. On Christmas day, we didn’t go to our annual Christmas lunch with our relatives… We went to my mom’s friend’s lunch instead and watched the PBA game that day. After the the game, we went to Pancake House at Blue Wave to eat dinner. lol :> We visited our cousins in Makati the following day and chilled at Starbucks, Peoplesupport.

Since it was declared as a non-working days, I had work on the 28th and 29th but it was ok, since as good as just staying at home and staying in front of the computer all day lol. On the 30th, I went out with my former colleagues at work. Had lunch at Teriyaki Boy and dessert at Red Mango. I was with them the whole afternoon and around 5pm my mom asked me to go home already. I when I got there, my cousins was there and we’re going to swim! Lol, yes swimming at that cold December night with my cousins was fun. XD

At Eastwood City with friends:

Night swimming with cousins:

Just like Christmas, we spent the new year’s eve in a different house too. We spent it with our cousins in Makati unlike the usual Mandaluyong new year’s eve. It’s really really fun! I was like online the whole night at irc and facebook but there was a short brownout so I have no choice but to go out and celebrate. lol.

It didn’t end there. Just before work starts again, I was able to go out with my friends some more and take more photos. Hahaha! I wasn’t able to give and receive as much gifts as I used to but the few gifts I got were really awesome! heehee. :>

I’ve started my project 365 entitled: counting idle moments. I’ve been uploading it on tumblr… I’m still not sure if I should also post it on flickr too. I’m kind of lazy to upload. lol.

Our first every polymer clay pendant’s before and after baking photos :>

I had my first polymer clay sculpting attempt last November 30. It was a non-working holiday so I met up with Den, Eiya, JV, and Ate Fae at Trinoma for JV’s despedida. Den and I have been so eager to make clay accessories for weeks and we have been watching Feye make clay orders via webcam so on the 30th we finally had our first clay experience at JV’s super far house. The pics I posted above is the result of our first try! Yes, we failed but it’s ok. We can always try again. :>

I brought my clays to work and people in my department became excited about it and sculpted some clays too. They really browsed at clay tutorials how to mold them and created a few food miniatures such as cake slice, donuts, cupcakes, carrots, oranges, mini Hershey’s kisses, and Toblerone. They even researched ways on how to cook the clays using the microwave since we don’t have any oven at the office, we only have a microwave. It was really really fun! We were able to successfully cook some clays using the microwave! I brought them home and turn them into cute little earrings! Here’s a photo of the cake slice’s finished product. :> Well, so what do you guys think?

Aside from attempting to make polymer clay accessories, I’ve been tumblring again! Since my boss blocked this blog in our office, I decided to open my tumblr once again! Lol. Oh I’ve joined the formspring.me craze too! Formspring.me and ask me anything. :]

Lastly, I’ve been in a phone hunt lately too. I need to replace my beloved Samsung D900 slider phone because I’ve been bringing it in and out of the repair shop for the past 6 months now. Do you think I should switch to a touchscreen phone (Samsung Star Wifi) or a smartphone (Samsung Omnia Pro B7320)? Yes, I’m a Samsung fan. Heehee.

Well, I wasn’t able to write a decent entry about my birthday so I’ll just do that now + happenings.

I spent my twenty-fourth birthday with someone I just met that day. I mean, I spent almost my entire day with people I don’t really know. I was out for a photoshoot that day. We have to shoot store photos of RSC Ermita and RSC Galleria so I was out with some RSC people, the photographer our office hired, and his assistant. Yes, I know what a weird way to celebrate but I had fun anyway! I dropped by the office around lunch and went back right after the shoot was over to finally celebrate my birthday with the office people and had the usual dinner with my family after work. :]

The next day, I found out that I share the same birthday with the driver of the fx I take going to Greenhills from Megamall and the people inside the fx greeted us! It was so weird yet funny! It was the first time strangers suddenly greeted me happy birthday.

I spent my weekend by watching New Moon at Trinoma with Den and Eiya on Saturday and nursing my grandmother the whole night till Sunday morning and slept the rest of the day.

When Monday started, I was just shocked with the news that our boss wants us to use Outlook Express instead of Gmail for our company emails. It was kind of shitty cos who on earth uses outlook express these days? US! Later that day, I found out that my boss blocked this site (my blog) again! Like what the hell is wrong with him again?

The whole week was pretty much the same with the other weeks except for the fact that there are less workload this week and that I’ve been trying to teach myself how to mold polymer clay and how to make accessories out of it cos I might open an online shop with Den with polymer clay accessories as our main products.

I went out with the office people last night. Had a few drinks and laughs. It felt sooo good cos it’s been a while since the last time I hung out with them. I went to Greenhills after that to meet up with Eiya, Cy, Kat, and Mike. It was a fun night!

However and on a brighter note, I’ve been pretty active on Tumblr lately and I finally got a googlewave account. :] Feel free to add me ok? Just tell me yours so I can add you guys too. I’ve been getting my shopping wishlist lately too. Hahaha! I managed to get a new pair of shoes, black tights, and clothes. Woots. :]

I celebrated by twenty-fourth birthday yesterday (18th November). It was perhaps one of the happiest one I had in years.Yes, I was so busy because I had a work-related photoshoot but it was really fun. It doesn’t feel like working actually but it was pretty tiring!!!

My day started pretty early for me. I was already working as early as 7am. I had lunch pretty early too and went back to the office for some stuff and continued with another photoshoot afterward. After the shoot, I went back to the office to decently celebrate my birthday with another girl cause we have the same birthday. So yes, there were a lot of food! And sorry, no pics available! Haha!

After work, I had a nice dinner with my mum, my brother, my brother’s gf, and my mom’s friend at Libis. It was really fun! I’ll update this one with photos whenever I uploaded them. hehe.

A box of happines, brownies! Baked by Azeined :]

I didn’t expect October to be that fast! It’s November already and there have been a lot of happenings in my life lately! It’s like WOW! I couldn’t believe it myself. Hahaha!

More photos below :]

I’ve got a lot of work lately alright but even though things at work are a little bit hellish and loaded for me, I actually feel good about it because for once… after ages (literally!) I’ve finally felt the happiness I’ve been longing for the past few years.

Axn-asia green forum (green = animation forum) screencap; it has 328 comments right now. LOL.

Just for a little background, I used to be a member of a forum back when I was in still high school and met a lot of cool and crazy friends. I actually treat them as good as my real life friends (or maybe even closer). We eventually became really busy and lost contact of each other. Until recently, my oldest online friend (Oldest by means of years we know each other) told me he’ll visit in Manila. I got so excited and hyped that I started contacting old forumers I know. However, he came in a very bad time (Oct. 30 – Nov. 2) and Manila was so dead. XD; He was stuck with me for 2 days and he was all by himself on Nov. 1 but our other forum friends visited him just before he flew to Cebu to meet another forumer. I discovered a screencap of the forum we used to hang out and posted it on facebook, everyone missed everyone and got all so excited which resulted into having a reunion over at mIRC. And now, we’re all active again! Talk about old time friends and ancient chat. LOL. It was really fun! I’ve never felt this in years and I didn’t know that Axn-ers have this effect on me. :]

That’s my friend Jerry aka Kenjo hugging Jolibee.

It was the first time I met my friend btw. He’s an Indonesian living in Singapore and it was his first time here in Manila. At first I didn’t know what to do and stuff but our meeting was quite…. funny. We met as if we have met each other on a regular basis wherein in fact, that was our first meeting. It was weird because I’m not that comfortable with other people I’ve met for the first time. Maybe because we’ve known each other since we were so young? Well, anyway… I wasn’t able to give him a decent tour around and I feel bad about it.

Don’t you just love to be reunited with your lost friends? It’s fun! After Jerry/Kenjo’s visit here in Manila, we decided to see each other the following week (Nov. 7!) It was Ate Melissa aka Kazumi’s birthday.

Me with the yummiest brownies ever! Thanks to Den =D

Ate Kazumi =D

Eiya who just bought her Big Bang CD the night before.

Den =D. You guys should try her brownies! It’s really yummy!

The others weren’t able to come because of work. =( Hopefully, someday we’ll have a grand get-together! Another funny thing is, we’re chatting as if the good old days we had before just happened yesterday! It feels like we didn’t get old or anything. It’s really fun!!!

(500) Days of Summer advance screening ticket cover

Aside from the irc reunion, I’ve had a number other good stuff too like being able to watch (500) Days of Summer a week earlier for free because our AE gave me an advanced screening ticket a week before it opened on theaters. It’s one of those movies that you won’t get tired of even if you’d watched it over and over again. :] I love it.

Also, isn’t it good to see your work’s finished product? I got to see mine printed and fabricated! I was sooo amazed that I’ve felt all of my hardwork somewhat paid of. I was paid overtime fee but the money didn’t really appeal to me. It was like the usual stuff…. but seeing the actual printed materials made all the tired, stressful, and sleepless nights I wasted all worth it. :]

Lime Powder Benefits Guide brochure cover. :]

Lime Benefits Guide brochure inside page sample.

Sales Con booth for UFS, I didn’t design this btw. :]

Gourmet Station; Initial design by me.

Actually there are more but I wasn’t able to see them personally like for example, if you had seen the Philippine Fashion Week at SM Mall of Asia, there’s this side event sponsored by Pond’s and Creamsilk called Glamwalk. I wasn’t able to see it live or experienced it myself but it was designed by me. :] I’ll ask for photos so I can post it someday :]

Sorry if this is being a bit tad cliche and I’m sorry if you’re being bombarded with these things but this is the least I can do to help. There are still thousands of people who needs rescuing and help and for someone who is fortunate enough be dried and comfy and is still capable to go to work today, I really have the urge to help and call everyone to help as well.

I have friends and most of my colleagues at work lives in Marikina, Cainta, QC, and Pasig areas, some of them are ok now, some are in evacuation centers, and some haven’t answered a call or text yet. I have relatives living in San Mateo, Rizal whom we can’t contact yet. Hopefully everyone’s fine.

I was repacking goods earlier and was also lurking around the net while working and found these ways to help the Ondoy victims:

1. Ways to donate to the Philippine National Red Cross via the PNRC web site

2. Compilation of drop-off points and where to donate @ burymeinthisdress.com

3. More compilations from Bianca Gonzales’ blog

4. TULONG TOMASINO!

5. SAGIP KAPAMILYA: Tel Nos: 413-2667 / 416-0387

6. They are now accepting donations at the San Juan Arena too.

The Wish; 15″x20″ illustration on strathmore paper; mixed media. This is one out of my 24 thesis illustrations for a children’s book.

My thesis was probably the last set of illustrations I did using traditional mixed media. Just to give everyone a little background, I was an advertising arts major and I used to draw and paint a lot (every single day of my 4 years stay in art school I guess). It has been 2 1/2 years since the last time I touched my pencils, brushes, and paints and I have to admit I really miss them.

My mum’s been slightly bugging me to paint something for our living room but I know she wants to me paint something really huge like 3ftx5ft type of painting and I still don’t know what to paint so I don’t know how I’ll start with that one yet. :/ Plus, I don’t know where I’ll get a canvas as big as that. Heehee.

Recently of my officemates brought up an exhibit topic asking us if we’d like to hold an exhibit somewhere and I find it really interesting. I’ve been itching to paint some personal artworks that’s not really as complex as what my mum wants but at least I’ll be able to paint again on small canvases. We’re also planning to sell the artworks we’ll exhibit so it’s really interesting and fun. Haha!

The problem is, I don’t know where I’ll paint yet.

You see, we wanted to get a little bit more creative with this exhibit so instead of using the normal canvas, we want to explore on paintings or artworks on something useful like sneakers, shirts, etc. Well, what do you guys think?

And before I end this, would you guys mind to answer a little survey?

Would you be interested to buy hand-painted items/things?

If yes, on what items would you it to be painted? Sneakers? Shirts? Bags? Mugs? Plates? or Plain canvas?

If no, why?

If our exhibit pushes through, would you be interested to come or pay us a visit?

That’s about it. :]
