It’s funny how time flies so fast. Agree? I’ve forgotten the last time I actually sit in front of my laptop (or even my office workstation) and try to create something personal. I’m not referring to browsing tumblr, blogs, and various networking sites I had because thats part of my daily routine already. It’s sad to realize that I’ve been neglecting some of the things I love doing all these years. It’s sad to realize the fact that I have been neglecting the things I used to do — without pressure, without responsibilities. Well…. anyway, here’s the recap of my previous weeks.

One of my favourite Korean singers, BoA finally made a comeback in the Kpop scene after 5 long years of absence. I’ve been following her comeback for the past 2 weeks now. I like her new songs and her new album in general but what I like most about her comeback is her photos for her new album. I prefer her with light / nude make-up but she’s still pretty in with heavy make-up plus, I find the whole set looks so beautiful. I want to do a photoshoot like this one someday if I’d get a chance!

Just last Monday, I find myself in a terrible stomach pain that eventually caused me to vomit everything I ate. I was brought to the nearest clinic for check up and had been diagnosed with Gastritis. Now, I’m temporarily cutting down my coffee, tea, chocolate, acidic juices, tomato, pepper, chili, cheese, and cream intake. Sad, right? Heh. I was prescribed to take some medications for 2 weeks and hopefully, in 2 weeks time I’d get to have my coffee, tea, chocolate, acidic juices, tomato, pepper, cheese, and cream back!

I went home shopping today with my family. We bought some stuff we badly need to replace. We bought a new cabinet which weren’t originally included in our list but what the heck it’s on sale. While checking cabinets earlier, I saw this pretty fluffy red chair and I want one. I better save up for one so I’d have a decent computer chair. Heehee. I forgot to take photos…. I’m not even sure if it’s allowed. =]

It’s a payday weekend so I get to treat myself today too.♥

It’s ME!!! with a short hair! =D =D

I got myself a haircut last June 30th. It was the first time I agreed to cut my hair that short after like… 5 years or something. So I find it really new and refreshing. I originally wanted 1-2 inch trim from my elbow-length hair but the stylist said that she wanted to cut all the dry part and so I impulsively nodded and agreed to cut them. I didn’t know she was about to take 7-8 inches of my hair so when she cut I was shocked but there’s nothing much I can do about it right? Lol. I end up loving my new haircut anyway. =)

I’ve also mentioned before that I’ll be meeting my dad for the first time after a decade. Weeks before I decided to cut my hairs, my brother and I met him last month. It was so surreal. I’ve met my dad, his wife, his wife’s daughter, his wife’s daughter’s fiancé, and his wife’s daughter’s friends. My brother and I spent two weekends with them and I could say that it was… a different experience.

Then some time this month, I went out with my mum and my brother just to eat but for some reason, I went home with a new phone. Yes, impulsive buying is bad. It left me broke for quite some time now and payday is still a week away. =( I bought myself an android phone I’m quite happy with it. At first I was like meh, so hard to use especially the qwerty keys but now I’m spazzing all over because of all the nice applications and games I downloaded. Lol.

I know I always wanted to keep this blog going as much as I want but for some unknown and really really effin’ reason my internet just stopped working two weeks ago. I’ve been trying to get it back and been bugging Globe Innove about it for the past two weeks too however, they don’t seem to be so responsive about it… so screw them!

We’d either wait for the support team to resolve our internet problem or swich to another (better option imho). So until then, I don’t really think I can update as much as I want to.

It’s June and I think if I want a good month ahead of me, I better start it with positivity. It’s not that I want to fool myself by telling myself things are good however, I believe they’re getting there. :] Though typing my blog entry’s first two sentences doesn’t actually sound like me whenever I talk to myself but at least, I’m trying to sound a little bit tad more optimistic than the usual.

Well anyway, let’s leave all the effing bad vibes behind cos it’s June already! I’m actually anticipating some stuff this month including meeting my dad after a decade. Soooo, I somewhat feel giddy about it… like c’mon it has been a decade since the last time I saw my dad. :/

Hhhmmm… wait, I wanted to write more but as always, I prefer to settle down with more spontaneous exchange of words, phrases, and sentences with someone who’ll spontaneously respond to whatever gibberish I’ll say. Lol. :>

Sometimes I just wished April didn’t come to an end that soon or that someone cut May off so that June can start already. To me, it feels like May is taking forever to end. How do I start? May is just that…. too hot for me to handle I supposed. There’s just too many issues and problems that sprouted and have been floating around my head for the past weeks and hopefully they’ll eventually subside soon.

I know it wouldn’t be such an interesting topic if I’ll be talking about problems here, however…. I think I just have to let it out. I know I can’t blab in details, but writing about it here will definitely ease my mind. :]

Dear You,

First of, from all my previous experiences I know deep in my heart that this too shall gradually pass. I’m not expecting it to be ok and back to normal with just one click or one wave of a wand just like in the wizarding world but at least, let us give it enough time to heal.

I believe that I’ve told you the truth… or at least 90% of it. I’m not sure if you take what I’ve said but with all sincerity, if there is one thing I want with my life to have, it’s prolly simplicity. I want to have a simple, normal life within a circle of my few great real friends. I love and respect my family so much that I wouldn’t do foolish things that could upset them. :]

Honestly, I don’t know who to believe or call my friend anymore. It’s all messed up now. Information overload is bad. It makes things so unfocused… but then, I always believe that these things are part of one’s life. Remember, everything has a positive output no matter how bad may it seem… problems like these… well, they make life less boring.

On a brighter tone, I’ve spent my day doing things that needs to be done like for example, I’ve tried to prepare new 365 photos / artworks to upload. Yup, I’ve never really intended my 365 to be just photos… I have to put words, quotes, conversations, videos, artworks, etc on it too. Well, that was my first plan anyway then I  got lazy and just took photos now that I can’t bring my camera everyday, I have to make my original 35 plan work now right?

I’ve finished my www letters too. Yup, I’ll be using my film camera again which I missed doing. I just hope I’d find enough energy to do more stuff. Office has been hogging most of my time now.

Summer at Cagbalete Island with Adver Porsiks (Uni/college block’s annual summer outing)

Despite the fact that it’s freaking hot right now, I’ve been trying to maximize my summer just like before… back when my summer was still called summer vacation and usually spent my weekends with my friends and classmates. It’s been years since my last summer vacation because for the last 2 years, the only summer vacation I got was during the Holy Week and I normally spent it at home since Manila looks so darn dead during those times.

Anyhoo, this is prolly one of the busiest summer I’ve had in years. The last one was after my graduation when  was out of the house most of the time. I think this year’s summer is twice as busy and fun from two years ago. I’ve been working nonstop (lol, literally.) for the last 2-3 weeks of April.

Normally, I’ll just stay home and sleep for 2 straight days to rest but two weekend ago, my Indo friend Jerry suddenly visited Manila! Unlike his first visit, he only told us he’ll visit days before his arrival. I was somewhat in a panic mode because I wasn’t sure if I’ll get work during those days but luckily I was workless! Good thing he stayed in Ortigas this time because Makati is just too far from where most of us live.

He stayed at Holiday Inn and we were able to bring him around Tiendesitas to eat late lunch/early dinner, hanged out at Starbucks, Silver City while waiting for our friend to get off his work duty. We brought him to a Karaoke place at Home Depot in the evening. It was really fun!!! Hahaha! After karaoke-ing, we returned to his hotel room and rest. :] It was around 11 in the evening when we all agreed to go home.

We brought him to Ozine Fest the following day for him to experience the Filipino anime convention feel however for me, I think it wasn’t a nice idea cos I myself didn’t get to enjoy this year’s Ozine Fest…. or maybe because it was the last day of the event? Oh well…. :\

After that was a week full of overtime work again! Really, I can say that I can almost live in our office! It’s like I go home to sleep, take a bath, and change clothes and the only time I get to see and talk to my mum was when she drives me off to work in the morning. :/ Last friday, I took a halfday leave of work to celebrate my bother’s birthday with my family. We spent it a day earlier because I’ll be out of town with my university/college classmates for our block’s annual summer outing.

This year’s class outing is at the pretty island of Cagbalete at Quezon Province. We rented a huge cottage at Pansacola Resort and had so much fun. :> Well, I basically asleep most of the time but still I had fun with the little time I was awake. Lol. XD; Our class/block annually plans a summer outing, I wasn’t able to come last year because I was sick so I tried my best to present this year and it was sooo worth it. I love it, blue summery sky, fresh clean sea water,  fresh yummy food, and warm funny company of my classmates. ♡♡♡

I was planning to write this down yesterday but since I realized that I haven’t got myself a decent ice cream photo with all the ice cream I ate for the past week — not even one. Can you believe it?! I usually take photos of things I eat before I start eating them or whenever I’m finishing them halfway. It’s just a funny realization that I have not bothered taking ice cream photos…. oh well. Lol…. And so, I decided to look for my older photos and found this hot photo of strawberry parfait I had years ago.

Well anyway, who wouldn’t agree with me in saying that summer wouldn’t be summer without ice cream or halo-halo? Hahaha! Yes, I love eating and I believe that it is quite evident here on this blog as I post food photos every now and then.

I spent my Holy Week at the usual place: our house! We don’t really spend it at any other place unless we decided to.  So anyhow, I was surfing the net on lazy afternoon and saw this set of sailor-inspired clothes in a lovely blog and got all hyped about it.  I know, after military-inspired jackets/blazers…. I’m now looking for sailor-inspired clothes for summer. I actually have one already, it’s a striped navy blue dress from Zara I’m just hoping to get some more… like something red? :] Hhmmm.. hopefully I’d be able to get the pieces that I want this summer (or maybe for a shoot this summer?) however when I visited Greenhills last Saturday the clothes and accessories there are mostly floral. Oh well…. hahaha!

Edit: I lol-ed when I saw that this entry has an April date already! I thought that it still qualifies as a March entry.

Are you guys familiar with Earth Hour? :] If you’re not familiar, Earth Hour is a global event asking households and offices to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for an hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on global warming. It is organized by WWF and is normally held during the last Saturday of March every year. It started in 2007 at Sydney, Australia. It was so successful that it is now practiced by a lot of other cities and countries around the globe.

If you are familiar with it, then will you be participating in this year’s Earth Hour? It’ll be held on the 27th day of March, 8.30 in the evening. I, together with my family participated the previous Earth Hours for the last 2 years and I’m posting this to spread awareness. :> Try it guys, it’s really fun.

As for me, it was during my BBDO-Guerrero training days in late 2007 when I first heard about it. The story of millions residents in Sydney participated in the said campaign amazed me. Isn’t it amazing that by just turning lights off and unplugging unnecessary electric appliances, we can help our planet and save electricity.

March has been pretty amazing and eventful for me so far. :> I’d like to take this time to thank the Lord for everything. I feel so blessed for all the good and bad things that have been coming my way and I’m really really really thankful. Yup, I’m thankful for bad things too because without them life is so boring right? :>> Haha!

Like what I’ve said, March has been pretty amazing and eventful so far. Let’s start with the first week of March’s daily birthday celebration in our office. It was pretty wild celebrating one birthday everyday, nonstop eating of pancit, pizza, and cakes. My first week of March ended with watching Alice in Wonderland with my friends! We watched in Promenade’s 3D Cinema and got free drinks and popcorn. Yay~ Alice in Wonderland is love~~~ Pretty wicked movie~~

My weekend was pretty much the same I guess, I was able to get some nice rest. When March 9 came, I went gaga over Paramore. Watching and listening to them live feels so surreal for me. I used to dream about it before and I thought it was pretty impossible until I heard they’re really coming for a show late last year so I didn’t really let the chance slip away. I was supposed to watch it with my college classmates…. I did watched it with them, separately. I saw them after the concert cos communication is pretty much scarce the whole time so I was all by myself nonetheless it was an amazing experience. I love hearing them live and yes, call me a parafreak but I really like them. The rest of the following days were like Paramore hangover.

On my last entry, I was planning to post my 365 Project summary here every week but my internet fucked up and I was internet-less for a week so I wasn’t able to upload stuff… and then when my internet finally got fixed a week later, the new laptop arrived and I was so busy reinstalling stuff again. It’s like, starting from scratch…. my previous 365 photos are still stuck on the old laptop and I haven’t got the time to move files from one laptop to another at all because of work. Sad.

And now, I realized it’s March already!!! That was really really fast! :> This March, I’m expecting some highlights such as: Paramore concert on the 9th, the effectivity of my so-called promotion on the 15th (though I’m still not sure if this is something to be hyped about), renewing toffeenut.org on or before the 17th, hopefully getting a new domain by the end of the month (if things go smoothly and have enough extra money to purchase one).
