It was bliss but…

After weighing the benefits and consequences of this gamble, I finally decided to open up an online store for my T-Shirt business! *claps*

What made me push through this business isn’t solely based on financial reasons. There are far better reasons why I decided to make this possible.

It’s about the passion to create something out of paints and brushes. I feel great whenever I see my works being worn or giving it to anyone who wants it. I never get to keep any painting or drawing I made because someone always asks to have it — yet it is my joy to let others have it.

I just consider taking advantage of the financial opportunities. It’s not like I’m going to give up schooling and pursue this! I do this not because I need to, but because I WANT to. But I wouldn’t mind if I would become a business tycoon in this line. Wish me luck on this one.

Oh and if you have the time, why not browse around? I only have one set of designs yet, but there are more to come so why not add me in your contacts in Multiply so you’ll be updated? Thanks!

WARNING: COVER SONG!

YAY! New Cover Song — and it’s on video! Weeee! Now Moo has something more to laugh at!

Pool Parteeh~ WOOT!

Yesterday was my close friend’s birthday and, together with my High School friends, we went swimming in a private pool near us. Wu-hoo! I couldn’t properly remember the last part since I was too drunk that my brain isn’t working well.

I couldn’t remember the details but all I remember was my X was there and we were actually talking. Usually, I wouldn’t be talking to him because I don’t want to. And I was surprised with myself that I talked to him. NO, I’m not bitter. Okay, maybe a little bit.

Well, aren’t you surprised that I made an entry this soon? I told you, when I have time to burn, I will just keep on posting and posting here! I divided this post into dates so if you’re too much of a lazy ass to read (like me), then skip on to something that’ll interest you.

October 27, 2009
The creative bug just bit me and I printed two shirts for friends. Though, I will only be showing one since I made one for Kim and she is constantly lurking about my blog. Sorry Kim, you’ll just have to wait! :)

Anyway, this one’s for another friend since it’s gonna be her birthday on the 2nd. It’s supposed to be a surprise. I only told her I’m cultivating something for her. I believe she won’t be dropping by here anytime soon, so here it is! :D

It still has to undergo washing just to make sure the paint is intact and won’t wear off, but practically, it’s 95% finished. I used textile paint, textile pen, sticker paper and a lot of handwork and skill. I think I should stick to this because silkscreen method is just a pain in the ass and printing machines are way too expensive.

Do you think I should make a business out of this hobby?

A while ago, my bandmates and I attempted to play That’s What You Get by Paramore. It isn’t too shabby, but it still lacks a lot. After the usual serious practicing, we just can’t help but fool around the studio.

No pics but just my favorite clip for today! My friends and I decided to switch instruments just for a whole lot of messing around.

I’m playing the drums here! Pardon me, I can only do the basic beat.
I’m not good, mind you. Hell, I SUCK! But it’s fun.

And I’m gonna share a cover song by me. If you don’t want your ears to bleed, don’t go for this one. I already gave you the benefit of not including my picture in the vid.

And lastly, I finally saw my grades and thank God I didn’t die. I’m quite disappointed with myself with what I got in Political Science. But, I have to just be thankful that I didn’t fail. Our professor is certainly hard to please, but I’m not hating the Constitution. In fact, I’m loving it. I’ll follow up the grades later.

Okay, that’s all for today! If you’d like to skip the rant part, go ahead. If you like snooping around with my life’s failures, go ahead! :D

PS: Okaerinasai, Moo! Welcome home! :)

Sembreak Love!
October 25th, 2009, Sunday on 03:06

I am back with a new theme! YAY! :D I was already getting sick over the last theme, so I changed it while I still have time to burn. After all, this is what the sembreak is all about. Bumming around! And I haven’t done that for the past 6 months.

Pink, Pink and Pink!
Not much of a fan of the color pink, but I felt I’m in the mood for a little girly-ness. The theme I made isn’t exactly inside of my comfort zone. I prefer simple and elegant themes over funky and loud ones, but exploring outside the box wouldn’t hurt. ;) If you see any flaws, I’ll fix them later since it’s past 3 AM in the morning and my brain isn’t functioning sharply, you see.

Cheers for Sembreak!
Moo’s in Thailand right now, so I’m kinda lonely right now because I don’t have a playmate. I just made a layout instead and kept myself busy like eating, eating, eating and just eating. Haha.

Enrolment will be on the coming 30th and resume of classes is on November 9. I really don’t have much long before I go back to being a busy Junior college kid again. So, I’m making the most out of my days at home and with my buds.

I was too stressed the past semester and I’m wishing that this sem wouldn’t be the same — or worse. I think my body wouldn’t be able to handle all the stress and I might just break out or something.

To put in a nutshell, here are my things-to-do for the semestral break. I have to warn you though, it’s not so fruitful. It’s just for FUN!

  • Finish Gossip Girl Season 2. Heck, I thought this series was a bunch of an airheads gossiping. It turns out that the characters are interesting and real. They are slaves for their own insecurities. Special thanks to Moo for introducing this series to me.
  • Read Death from the Woods by Brigitte Aubert and The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. These have been in my pending books to read list, and I haven’t made any serious progress. *hits self*
  • Think of a new name for the college’s publication. SELAMS Pages is just a bore. As the Editor-in-Chief, I was assigned, together with the staff to think of a good name. Thing is, we don’t have anything yet. Any suggestions?
  • Finish my entry for the 3rd Annual Artwork T-shirt Design Competition. Deadline is on November 15. I already have a few concepts in mind and design studies in here, but I’m still not satisfied. Maybe, inspiration will come soon. I’ll post a pic of the shirt when I’m done with it!
  • Make shirts for friends! :)

The contest isn’t just designing. You have to use materials and submit a shirt with the design. So, photoshop isn’t enough here. You have to use your hands.

Anyway, that’s all for today. I’ll practically be posting every now and then this time. I’m making the most out of sembreak!

School starts on Tuesday. So in the following entries, before I rant about how stress kills me and how it sucks to be a college student, I’ll tell you on how I made the best out of the last days of summer. :D

I’ve taken some photos using a friend’s Kodak DX7590 Digital Camera. Though it’s not a DSLR, it works the basics of focus, shutter speed, etc, so it’s not half bad for your picture-taking needs. It’s a good practice for me who aspires to purchase an expensive one using the blood, sweat and tears. Getting archaic again.

Please visit my gallery at DeviantArt.com

The past few weeks have been fun. My closest girl friends slash bandmates had a get together and practiced at Kuya Ajie’s studio.

It’s funny noticing that every time we meet, it’s as if we only saw each other yesterday. Nothing has changed from how we treat each other, and the laughter is still crisp as it sounds two years ago.

Yes, we’re an all-girl band, but never get us wrong. We are the right combination of sweet and spice.

And I’d just like to share a few photos of my 3-year old brother extending his summer by his kiddie pool in our backyard. I’m actually guilty of joining him in swimming (or rather soaking). However, I didn’t take pictures with him since it’s too risky. The cam might get wet, and it’s not mine!

That’s about it! It’s a little late now and my eyes are tired of all the typing and editing so I’ll just blog hop and leave some darling comments tomorrow. :)

Goodnight everyone! Oyasumi…

PS: The song currently playing is Colour Everywhere by Christian Bautista. Old songs that reached the peak of fame during my high school days bring a whole lot of memories when I hear them today. Don’t you sometimes feel that way too? :P

Drag Me To Hell PosterJune 6, 2009. Me and my classmates from CEU went to Trinoma to watch the movie Drag Me To Hell. I’m not an avid fan of horror, suspense or thriller movies because they freak the heck out of me. So, why did I tag along to watch?

First, my friends insisted that it’ll be fun, it’ll be awesome and after all, it’s not everyday we get to hang out freely without the pressure of school.

I’m a big chicken when it comes to this so I have to say this one is still freaking me out every time nightfall comes. If you’re looking for a thriller movie, this one’s good for you.

Videography is excellent and provides convincing and extremely shocking scenes that would make you scream your lungs out. And trust me, I did all the screaming.

Though, if we’re looking at it on literary quality, the plot is quite shallow. There is no complex storyline that makes the audience hooked on how the story would turn out. The main character only revolves around the curse put upon her, the job promotion and her excellent boyfriend. That’s it. :|

Then, after the movie, we went to meet up with Ellise, our former classmate who started working at a call center. I missed her so much!

* * *

Would you be surprised that my former boyfriend now transferred to CEU? What a shocker.

I accompanied him during his enrolment and had lunch together. No, no, no, we are NOT together again. We’re sort of like friends, but like M.U. or something. Our situation is very complicated as of the time being, that’s why I don’t want to be in a relationship with him again.

Though, I feel a little neutral about him transferring to my school, I felt a bit of happiness in me. *eww* Scratch that!

Be safe!

Centro Escolar University’s classes are now officially reset to June 15, 2009 due to the rapid spreading of the A(H1N1) Influenza.

Though this is good news for the lazy bums out there (sort of like myself), I have to go to school for a couple of times for a video shooting requested by our college.

The video must have the different department heads in CEU telling something about our college’s new dean. I hope we finish it by tomorrow since I’m too lazy to travel back and forth from home to school. -_-

However, what really concerns me is the pandemic outbreak of A(H1N1) aka Swine Influenza. I really don’t think that the Department of Health actually has is under control, as they claim.

It is the World Health Organization itself that raised the alert level to 6, which means that status is extremely bad! Seriously, I’m afraid that it would reach our household or even get in contact with a carrier.

Friends, blogmates and readers, I suggest that we avoid leaving our homes if unnecessary and going to crowded places. If unavoidable, buy a mask. By tomorrow, I guess I’ll be off to buy a mask beside our school.

Remember, this disease still does not have a cure, this is why carelessness is a luxury we could not afford at this time.

Take care, loves.
