Twenty three!

Updates + Blab + Some Photos!

I turned twenty-three last Tuesday (just in case you don’t know!), it was the first time I actually worked (or attended a class on a regular schedule) on my birthday for years! Because when I was still in high school, it’s either we celebrate one of our school’s patron saints (like a Eucharistic mass and school activities and stuff so meaning no regular classes) or have no school at all. And then, in college we have CFAD week so it’s either we have irregular classes or just activities. :] And last year, I was on leave. Haha. :]

I planned to take a leave but they gave me this hugeass deadline so I wasn’t able to take the leave. Boo!!! So we just had a little family dinner at Promenade after work. Yeah very boring birthday!!! I didn’t even get any gifts at all!!!

On Wednesday, we were supposed to go Glorietta to meet Alona, she’ll be our model for our shoot, however she was sick that day so we decided to call it off and just hang around Mega after work. :] I was able to process my film that day too! After ages of being stuck with experimental bokehs!! Hahaha. I haven’t uploaded them yet (since I’m running out of flickr space already…) except for a couple of bokeh shots and ICA photos :] I’ll share two of them anyway. :] I’ll post some more whenever I can!

On Thursday, Karen and I went to Peoplesupport building to meet Alona for our little photoshoot! We talked about the concept and location/s, showed her the pegs we collected, and to ask her about the clothes and look/style we want and asked her what she thinks and for her suggestions. :] For the first time ever, Rica joined us!!! She joined us just because we were like right accross their building!! Hahahaha. :] It was such a fun night! I miss Rica and Alona soo much!♥

And then, on Friday we worked our poor little butts overtime. It really pissed me off because I have to work on something with such unclear directions and dimensions. I have to wait for like around 7 in the evening to get a tentative height and width measurements and it really irritated me! I mean, my back hurts like hell and I’m trying to finish the thing as soon as I can and got asked to still work the next day?! I eventually forgot about being pissed off in the end. I’ve been ranting about my aching back and neck that day and I get what?! AN OVERTIME! It was like the crappiest day of the week ever!!!

Then on Saturday, I was asked by Naji to go to Hero convention with her! It was my first convention after 3 long years!!! I get to have a complimentary ticket and a backstage pass because of Naji (she used to work for Hero btw). I felt a little old because of them are still students but it was really nice (though… I think Hero TV’s a bit poor this year for not giving away freebies anymore!! hahaha!) The photos are still with Naji! I’ll post them here if I see them online already! I have this picture with the thin HG and ryuk cosplayers and naji with the other HG cosplayer. Hahaha! I was introduced to some of the awesome Hero TV editors, producers, organizers, and dubbers, I saw and get squeezed/harassed by Tintin Wong too! LOL! It was really really fun!

And lastly, Sunday was my rest day. :] I planned to go to Greenhills to look for some stuff and we might need during our photoshoot but fell asleep! LOL.

Lastly, I have new hostees again and as far as I want to host some more…. I have decided to close the hosting for now. I think I have enough already ^_^. I’ll open it again whenever someone decides to close his/her site. :]

Blab + some more blab

I wanted to write something decent but that was…. a couple of days ago when I was sick? So now that I feel a lot better, I forgot what to write already. Sheeesh.  So okay, I was sick last Friday… it’s not that I’m just too lazy to go to work, I was really bloody sick. Gets? LOL. :]

Last Saturday, I was really really hoping I’d get to watch Madagascar 2 with my friends but they failed me (for the nth time!!!!). I felt really bad about it! I swear! I sweared they’re just a bunch of liars. I mean, I was really hoping I’d watch it with them but they always ditch me!!! Anyhow, my uncle was kind enough to let me join him and his girlfriend to watch Madagascar with them! ♥ It was soo nice… I mean, at least felt I’m loved. :] (Screw you college friends!!!!! — Yes, I’m still bitter!).

I’m trying to finish my current film roll…. I’ve been experimenting with lights and stuff. I’m trying to come up with a decent bokeh photo for the first time! LOL. Hahaha! I’m excited to see the other part of my Eastwood shoot, ICA Fair photos (yesss I know parang October 18-19 pa yung ICA Fair!!), some more skies and sunsets, and light experiments (b-setting and bokehs!). I’m so excited to develop it. LOL! And, I’m thinking of digitalizing my old films…. hopefully. That is If I FIND them. XD

Oooh, what else? I’m a bit disappointed with Starbucks’ 2009 Planner so I might just get a Moleskine. Oh, we have a new CD (creative director)! He’s Sir Rey and he’s from Hemisphere Leo Burnett. He’s the one who gave us a brief for a freelance work we did for Leo Burnett last year (small world…) Hahaha. I don’t really know what to say anymore… Ah yes, I might try to squeeze myself for an above the line agency some time next year… for my next job hopefully.

I’ll have new hostees too. :] I’m just waiting for them to transfer…. You can still catch me on Plurk (oh please help me get a star) everyday and…. I’ll get the photos I took with the D90 this week too! Yay! =D And, thank you so much for the comments last entry especially about my mum! Yes, she’s my mum and she’s around 45-46 years old already, a single parent to me and my brother, and we love her so much! ♥

Red cups are coming.

Hooray for November! I love November basically because of the following: It is the month of my birthday! It makes Christmas much nearer to my reach. It starts Starbucks’ sticker hunt. =D It’s the month where we celebrate CFAD Week. Things are just so much nicer and sadder at the same time for me during this month.

Last Saturday, I felt as though the whole day was just like any other Saturday until we reached Shangri La and it was closed! We ended up going to Megamall instead where a sale was currently held so — yess, crowded! Okay, we didn’t visit the cemetery because they went there last October 30th, I wasn’t able to go with them because I have work and I don’t think I’ll have the courage to go to Chinese Cemetery alone.

Yesterday was my mum’s friend’s birthday. It was super fun! First, they won the game (PBA game — Coke VS Red Bull) and second, I get to play with my mum’s other friend’s DSLR, a Nikon D90! Wooot. I was like the photographer of the event! LOL. OMG, it was so much love ♥. Now, I’m torn between Nikon D80 and D90. OH NOES~ Honestly, I can’t get over it! I adjusted the settings to my own liking and stuff and the only thing that made me sad that night was that I didn’t get to take it with me on our way home. Oooh, I have pics! I’ll post everything tomorrow. I’ll give my mum my thumb drive to get the D90 photoos! haha…

Just a thought, what if I’ll just go for a D90 instead of D80? I mean my mobile phone is a D900 wouldn’t it be fun if my DSLR will be a D90? LOL. XD;

Oh yes, I’m using WP 2.7 Beta and I’m loving it! =D. It has this nifty nice and smooth dashboard and new stuff to try (like it has this Stick to front page thingie already)! So try it! =D.
