Life Lately: November and December

So here’s a summary of my November and December 2015:

Stating the obvious, I love Starbucks’ Toffee Nut latte. I started with the frappucino (when I was in college and I didn’t care about the whipped cream and all the calories) and eventually moved on with latte with no whipped cream. Since it’s a seasonal drink, it’s something I always look forward to every year along with the stickers. However, this year Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf came up with their version of it and I instantly fell in love with it. You guys should try! (I believe it’s still available? If you’re like it sweeter, go for the Ice Blended but if not, then for for the Latte). And so, I’ve been drinking more of that this year than Starbucks’. (I’m so sorry Starbucks but you’re still my first love)

Meanwhile, I still got myself a Starbucks 2016 Planner — only that mine was the Singapore version. I asked a friend to buy me one since she was asking people on Facebook if anyone was interested.

Aside from Skye, November is also my birth month! I turned 30 last November. As always, we had a family dinner somewhere — my treat, of course! This year, we had dinner at Abe, SM Megamall Fashion Hall. I had churros and ice cream afterwards.

A couple of weeks before Christmas, we finally experienced what it’s like to have a staycation! We stayed at Marco Polo Ortigas using my mom’s complimentary overnight stay from her Marco Polo membership and wow….. I think now I know why people do staycations. It’s so refreshing to have a change of environment and so relaxing to just stay in bed the whole day. We also enjoyed their indoor infinity pool but Skye liked their jacuzzi better mainly because of the hot water.

And just before the Christmas holidays ended, we were able to watch Disney on Ice for the first time! My mom got us free tickets and we have no idea we got front row VIP ticketssss. Skye liked it, she didn’t get bored and cranky except for the last part — which was Frozen because she was already sleepy that time. She was so happy to see Mickey and Minnie in person because she loves them so much. Yes, I’m the happiest parent who watched — WHY? Because I’m still a kid (at heart), and will always will be. I know all the songs (maybe except the one from Tangled). I’m so happy I want to watch it again next year!!

Lastly, I’m taking advantage of the weather. It’s the only time I get to wear my jackets and sweaters. I’m also happy to say I am now able to wear my leather jacket from circa 2011. I’m so happy with weight loss progress. Hoping to reach my 2016 weight goal target by summer!

How about you guys? How was your Christmas holidays?

I also want to try a staycation, and I’m planning one by the end of the month, or maybe if I’m my stress level is already high. Haha.

I haven’t tasted churros yet, as much as I want to try it. But seeing it deep fried makes me think twice. No, I’m not really health-conscious, because I eat a lot of “unhealthy food”, as they say it. I just don’t like too much oil in food. I eat donut, and I know they’re deep fried, but at least I don’t get to see how they do it. Haha sa churros kasi, nakikita ko mismo sa mga kiosks eh. Hehe pero gusto ko pa din sya itry! Haha

I also like wearing sweaters, I still get to wear in the office, since ginawin ako. Pero paglabas, tatanggalin din kasi mainit. Haha

You should! It’s so relaxing and rewarding if you had a very stressful work week!!

I’m not a churros fan actually but La Lola made me like them…. if this will sort of help, La Lola uses olive oil for their churros. Or let the tissue absorb as much oil as they can first before you eat them but it’s so much better to eat them while they are still hot.

Pwede din naman sa labas if medyo manipis yun sweater! Hahaha, I’ll miss wearing sweaters in the following months! 🙁

I’m 19 but I still would love to watch Disney on Ice! Hahaha. Sounds like a great year for you, though. Oh, I was able to taste Starbucks’ Toffenut frappe last December and I loved it! I have yet to try CBTL’s though, but seriously, I love that flavor already. Haha.

Number 1 priority on my 2016 goals is to lose weight before summer ’16 as well! Cheering on you in that. You can do it!! 🙂

You should watch Disney on Ice!!! It’s super nice! And try CBTL’s toffeenut too!!! It’s creamier and super buttery… like Butterbeer! I’m just not sure if it’s still available. 🙁 Hopefully, they’ll bring it back next holiday season! It’s super worth to try.

Let’s go lose weight!!! We can do it!!! 🙂

This week demands a staycation too. Badly wanted to relax na, or kong pwede bilisan na ang summer. This stress I’ve been dealing with is quite at the intense level already huhu.

It’s been raining for the past week, I’m happy it’s demanding me sweater wear 🙂 Atleast the rain gives me a happy vibe.

Aww, stressful days truly deserve staycations!! You should go and treat yourself!

Speaking of summer, I’m now starting to bid goodbye with my sweaters since it’s starting to get hot already. Well, at least you’d have your much deserved summer holidays soon! 😀
