Skye turned 1 last November 1st, I was supposed to write my birthday story but I was so busy to finish it so I ended up saving it as draft and never get to publish. Since most people might not be available on her exact birth date, we just celebrated her party it on the following weekend — November 7!
It was a Lalaloopsy-themed party, at first I wanted a Harry Potter-themed party since I am such a Potterhead and since I haven’t really attended one — kiddie parties I’ve attended so far are mostly Frozen-themed, superheroes-themed, Shabby Chic-themed, Safari-themed, etc. however, my mom said it wasn’t bagay or suitable for a baby girl since colors are kinda dark. Well, I sort of realized it’s true because as much as I wanted a Harry Potter party, I decided to look for another theme. Since Skye loves polka dots, stars, and balloons so much I tried to associate those things to kiddie party themes and came across a couple of Lalaloopsy-themed ones in Pinterest and kind it so cute and bubbly — the kind of kiddie party theme that Skye will like.
I’m so right in choosing Lalaloopsy as Skye’s 1st birthday theme!! Everything look so bright and colorful and the look of her face when she saw the balloons was priceless!
I got Pink & Peach Party as my decor / stylist and I must really commend Ms. Aileen and the team she assigned for Skye’s party for the beautiful set-up. They transformed the venue, The Roxy Events Place so well. Let me show you the stage design:
At first I’m kind of hesitant to have a styro backdrop but who would have thought it would turn out that cute that it screams CUTENESS all over the place.
Table settings and table top /centerpiece with Lalaloopsy mylar balloon that the guests loved so much they asked if they can take them home along with them along with the flower centerpieces that my caterer provided. I also love how my caterer, mixed and matched all the colorful table cloths with the napkins — so well coordinated with the theme.
The cranky birthday girl (because she haven’t had her afternoon nappy the time this photo was taken) and her birthday cake.
The obligatory family photo on the stage before the party started. Please excuse my fat mummy tummy hahaha!
And the most important thing on her birthday — her first candle blowing ever.
It’s sad that my photographer has just released a few teaser photos so I couldn’t share more photos like the giveaways that I DIY-ed the night before the party and the ceiling decors but I’ll just update this post or post another batch of snaps whenever I got the rest of the photos including the photobook.
